		You can see how the fur was originally pieced together.  There are some areas where this stitching has split, but I have the luxury of laying my pattern pieces directly on the skin side of this fur and cutting what I need only having to mend what damage I cannot get around.  Below, I have laid half of my collar pattern on the skin ready to pin it down to cut.
