C30-5156 Katharine Hepburn Jacket, circa 1933
This is a very scarce design put out by Butterick as part of their ‘Starred’ pattern series for a ‘costume for women and misses as worn by Miss Hepburn in an R.K.O. Radio Picture’. This pattern is for the jacket only. The jacket features cut-away sleeves in long or short length and the scarf which laps over the front to close with buttons for detail!
It is Howard Greer’s design that she wore in ‘Christopher Strong’. If you ever wanted to wear the jacket Ms. Hepburn did in that film, here is your chance!
Recommended fabrics from which to cut the jacket are: Light weight wools, taffeta, satin, novelty cottons, gingham, shantung, linen or rayons. View 'A' in size 16 requires 1-5/8 yards of 54" wide fabric without nap.
A multi-size version of the jacket, dress and hat is available
