Sk40-5569 Ladies' Bustle Skirts, circa 1940's
This flattering bustle skirt style was originally manufactured by Vogue in the 1940's. This is a skirt style which is very slim down the front, yet fulness from the pleats at the back under the bustle give plenty of room for walking.
3 yards of 54" fabric without nap are required for the long skirt in size 18.
Recommended fabrics from which to cut this design are: Velvet, Wool Crepe, Wool Gabardine Wool Flannel or Heavy Silk Crepe.
This 4-piece pattern comes in size Group A or B
Group A fits vintage sizes 12, 14 and 16 (24", 26" or 28" waist and 33", 35" or 37" hip)
Group B fits vintage sizes 18, 20 and 40 (30", 32" or 34" waist and 39", 41" or 43" hip)
