1936 Skirt
Sk30-8352 Ladies' Skirts, circa 1936

This long, flattering skirt was featured as an evening style in the 1936 McCall pattern book.
Instructions are also included to line this skirt.
I have included instructions and a layout diagram to include a bias cut version of this skirt as well as the original straight-on-grain version.

This 7-piece pattern comes in size group A (fitting a 25-28" waist) or,
size group B (fitting a 30-34" waist).

3 yards of 44"/45" fabric without nap are required for the long bias-cut skirt in size 18.

Recommended fabrics from which to cut this design are: Velvet, Wool Crepe, Wool Gabardine, Double-side Silk Satin or Heavy Silk Crepe.

Group A fits vintage sizes 12, 14 and 16 (25", 26" or 28" waist and 33", 35" or 37" hip)

Group B fits vintage sizes 18, 20 and 40 (30", 32" or 34" waist and 39", 41" or 43" hip)
