B40-4704; 1940's Blouses
9-piece pattern originally by mail order pattern company Anne Adams, these two sleeveless blouse styles are in junior sizes. Style A has a peplum and sweetheart neckline with an embroidered motif (not included in this pattern) that is applied before the blouse pieces are sewn together. The center back closes with a zipper. Style B buttons up the back and the bodice is gathered above the bust into a shoulder yoke. Each style uses just one yard of fabric for sizes 13 through 23.
SUGGESTED FABRICS: Spun rayon, printed silks, faille, satin, novelty silks, sheer wools, chiffon wools, wool crepe, printed cottons, novelty cottons, sheer cottons.
1/2" seams are given.
Sizes:
Size set A fits 13-19 (31 to 37" bust, 26 to 31" waist, 35 to 40" hip).
Size set B fits 21-27 (39 to 45" bust, 33 to 39" waist, 42 to 48" hip).
