Pattern Tour, 1940 Hooded Blouse, Wide Leg Trousers and Overalls SE40-3322

  15-piece pattern originally by Simplicity, 'Misses’ Blouse, Slacks and Overalls.  A choice of blouse with hood and long sleeves, or without hood and short sleeves is provided.  Slacks are darted, front and back and join a belt.  Overalls have halter top and pockets'. The overalls/trousers (8-piece pattern) may be ordered without the blouse and the blouse (7-piece pattern) may be ordered as a separate, see options. Jennie FaceBook-posted her creation from pattern D40-4662, the 1943 Shirtwaist Dresses Pattern! She posted her patriotic version of the dress accompanied by a sweet hand embroidered apron by her grandmother in the 50's. Jennie topped it all off in true vintage style by adding 1930's deadstock embroidered lettering to add her initials and was chosen in the drawing to receive the $25 gift certificate to EvaDress.com for the month of July! Pattern Tour, D40-5087 1940 Dress

8-piece pattern originally by DuBarry Pattern Co., 'A softly styled afternoon dress with the back cut in one with the shoulder yokes.  The surplice bodice is draped in flattering fashion above the molded diaphragm yoke.  The skirt is slightly flared with gathered fullness in the back.  Short or three-quarter length sleeves.' 3/4" seams are given at underarm (side) seams and 1/2" seams are given on all other edges.
