Originally by McCall, a softly gathered almost-off-the-shoulder confection of an elegant peasant-style. The short puff sleeves of which are done up in sleeve ties, the long sleeves button at the wrist and are trimmed with ruffles.
The neckline and edges of the short sleeve are gathered down and bound for a finish (without elastic or drawstrings). The short sleeves are finished with a bias bound strip tied into a bow.
The blouse may be worn tucked in or left out by a close-fitting peplum.
1/2" seams are given.
RECOMMENDED FABRICS: SUGGESTED FABRICS For Styles A & B: Silk crêpe, Satin, Novelty silk crêpe, Heavy sheer crêpe (georgette), taffeta, metal fabrics, velvet, lace.
Style A also in: Sheer wool or Soft woolen (knits).
Style B also in: Sheer cotton (voile), Handkerchief Linen, Rayon, Celanese or (rayon) Bemberg.
Sizes:
Size set A fits 14-20 (32" to 38" bust, 26" to 32" waist, 35" to 41" hip).
Size set B fits 40-46 (40" to 46" bust, 34" to 40" waist, 43" to 49" hip).
