E-PATTERN 1920's Robe de Style E1772

$ 20.00

E1772; 1920's Robe de Style

11-piece pattern originally by Butterick.  Known for its full, dropped waist skirt at a time of popular straight-cut dresses, this Robe de Style pattern comes with pieces and instructions to make the paniers (to go under the dress), the bows and fabric flowers and leaves for embellishment.  There are two options for cutting the front neckline and three options for cutting the back neckline.  An additional page has also been provided, as a light tutorial on making 1920’s ribbon leaves.

3/4" seams are given at underarm (all side) and shoulder seams and 3/8" seams are given on all other edges.

The light blue model shows the short sleeve a customer added.

The Robe de Style was introduced in the 1910's by Jeanne Lanvin, although it was most popular during the 1920's. Some wonderful fantasy examples of Robe de Style graced the artful covers of Vogue Magazine throughout 1920-1922 in particular!
